Successful youth development programmes provide opportunities for young people to develop and practice the skills, knowledge and attitudes to be caring, competent, and contributing members of their communities. They use structured voluntary activities to provide youth with opportunities to plan and execute a variety of tasks, operate within an environment that recognizes constraints, and exercise their own motivation and direction.

 Youth Achieving Success through Challenges and Experiences that eNable Development (ASCEND) will nurture young people’s skills, knowledge, and abilities by focusing their attention and effort on achieving challenging goals. The programme packages are designed to help young people develop a greater understanding of themselves, build healthy relationships and exercise effective leadership.
